TOP 13 AmerIcAN IdoL SeaSOn 8...

America has already chosen the Top 6 finalists on American Idol season 8. Here’s a recap. Alexis Grace, Michael Sarver and Danny Gokey dominated the first 3 seats on the top 13 while Allison Iraheta, Kris Allen, and Adam Lambert are also through to the next round. Do you think these top 6 finalists deserved their spot? On my opinion, they deserved it. They’ve performed their way to eraned the spot. Unlike some of the contestants, they are good but they picked the wrong songs that’s why they got voted out while others are playing it safe. Like what Randy Jackson said, they need to give their best on this elimination round to win the votes from the audiences. Well, those who were eliminated has another chance on the Wild Card round. 3 will be chosen to fill in the 3 remaining spot in the Top 13 finalists list.

American Idol Season 8 Top 12 Full List:

1. Alexis Grace - 21-year-old musician from Memphis, Tennessee and she auditoned in Louisville, Kentucky. She sang “Never Loved a Man” by Aretha Franklin.

2. Michael Sarver - 28-year-old father of two children and works as a roughneck on an oil rig from Jasper, Texas. He auditioned in Phoenix, Arizona and earned his spot in the top 12 after he sang “I Don’t Want to Be” by Gavin DeGraw.

3. Danny Gokey - 28-year-old Church music teacher from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His wife passed away just four weeks before his

audition in Kansas City, Missouri. He sang “Hero” by Mariah Carey on the elimination round.

4. Allison Iraheta - 16-year-old junior high school student from Sherman Oaks, California. She sang “Alone” by Heart that gave her the highest number of votes last Thursday night.

5. Kris Allen - 23-year-old Business major student at the University of Central Arkansas and he auditioned in Louisville, Kentucky. He sang “Man in the Mirror” by Michael Jackson last night.

6. Adam Lambert - 27-year-old stage actor who grew up in San Diego, California but currently lives in Hollywood. He auditioned in San Francisco, California and earned his top 12 spot after he sang “Satisfaction” by The Rolling Stones. Some says that Adam Lambert is gay because of he’s emo looks.

7. Scott MacIntyre, 23-year-old blind musician from Scottsdale, Arizona. He’s a pianist, vocalist, and songwriter and has independently produced, engineered, and released 6 full-length CD’s and has written in genres spanning pop, rock, punk, jazz, and classical. American Idol.. Group 1..

The twelve finalists from last night sang "I’m Yours" for the show opener and it was definitely a decent group performance. The group was tight and the harmonies were solid.

One thing I enjoyed tonight is they allowed the three that made it through to the Top 12 sing their songs again. That’s better than watching someone who has been eliminated sing knowing they’ve been rejected and that their American Idol journey is over.

We were also graced with a performance from two Season 7 finalists, Carly Smithson and Michael Johns. I wish they had sung something different than "The Letter" because I’ve heard them rock this song before, but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. Carly was looking quite hot tonight!

America’s top three from Group #1 ~ ALEXIS GRACE, MICHAEL SARVER, and DANNY GOKEY. Congratulations to all three!

These are the contestants no longer remaining in the competition unless they return during the wildcard show ~ Casey Carlson, Stephen Fowler, Ricky Braddy, Jackie Tohn, Anoop Desai, Brenth Keith, Stevie Wright, Ann Marie Boskovich, and Tatiana Del Toro. I mean really Idol, leaving Tatiana last alongside Danny Gokey? That was definitely a no brainer!

These are the contestants I’d like to see return for one more shot during the wildcard show ~ Stephen Fowler, Anoop Desai, and Ricky Braddy.
